This training manual is designed specifically for all professionals who work with people from different cultures, both in their home culture and abroad. It provides more than 100 hours of practical interactive training, plus expert guidance on constructing intercultural training programmes and all the necessary material, including handouts and briefing sheets for workshop participants. Its exercises and discussion papers cover all the key issues, from nonverbal behaviour to overcoming prejudice. The manual is divided into three parts:

Part I provides background information for the trainer and guidance on designing successful training programmes.

Part II forms the main body of the manual and comprises the workshops themselves. The chapters in this section are arranged both thematically and in order of complexity, starting with the most straightforward topics and working through to the most complex ones.
Part III outlines different methods of evaluating the training.
